Information we collect
- Enquiry forms: name, email, session interest, journaling experience notes, and your message
- Enrolment and invoicing: billing details, payment references (processed via our accountant or payment provider — we do not store full card numbers on this website)
- Session delivery: journal pages you submit, attendance notes, and feedback we return
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) and cookie data as described in our cookies policy
Purposes
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, deliver training, improve session quality, meet legal and accounting duties, and — with consent where required — send occasional updates about upcoming cohorts.
Retention
Enquiry messages without enrolment are typically retained up to 24 months. Enrolment and invoicing records are retained for seven years to meet Australian tax obligations. Submitted journal pages used in marking are retained for the duration of the engagement plus up to 12 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner where feasible.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate email, hosting, accounting, and video conferencing — under obligations to protect it. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
International transfers
Some processors may store data outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
Children
Sessions are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy by posting a revised version here with a new date.
